1. Authority to Publish

By submitting content you confirm that:

• You are authorised to act on behalf of the business, organisation or event organiser.
• All information submitted is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
• You will keep your content up to date, including contact details, opening times, prices, event dates and website links where applicable.

2. Your Content

You retain ownership of any text, photographs, logos and other content you upload.

To enable us to effectively promote your listing, you grant My Town Rocks Limited a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to:

• publish your content on any My Town Rocks website or app
• include your content within search results and directory listings
• feature your content within newsletters, social media, promotional campaigns and marketing materials
• resize, crop or make minor formatting changes to images and text where necessary for publication
• use your business name, logo and listing information when promoting the My Town Rocks network

This licence continues until your content is removed from our platforms.

3. Images and Copyright

You are responsible for ensuring you have permission to upload every image, logo and piece of content submitted.

You confirm that:

• you own the copyright or have permission from the copyright owner
• any identifiable people shown have given appropriate permission where required
• your content does not infringe any copyright, trademark or other intellectual property rights

My Town Rocks Limited accepts no liability for copyright infringement resulting from content submitted by advertisers.

4. Content Standards

All published content must be:

• truthful and accurate
• family-friendly
• suitable for a public audience
• relevant to the business, event or organisation being advertised
• compliant with UK advertising, consumer protection and trading laws

Content must not:

• contain misleading or false information
• promote illegal activity
• include offensive, discriminatory or abusive language
• contain hate speech or harassment
• include sexually explicit or inappropriate material
• infringe another person's rights
• include malicious links or harmful software
• impersonate another organisation or individual

5. Events and Activities

If you publish an event or activity, you are responsible for ensuring:

• dates, times and locations are correct
• pricing is accurate
• booking information is up to date
• any age restrictions, accessibility information or important requirements are clearly stated
• any cancellations or significant changes are updated promptly

My Town Rocks cannot guarantee attendance or ticket sales.

6. Paid Listings

Paid advertising provides additional visibility and promotional opportunities as described at the time of purchase.

Unless otherwise agreed:

• fees are payable in advance
• advertising fees are non-refundable once a campaign or listing has gone live
• failure to pay may result in suspension or removal of paid features
• expiry dates apply to paid packages unless renewed

7. Free Community Listings

Approved charities, community groups, schools, not-for-profit organisations and voluntary groups may be eligible for discounted listings.

Eligibility is determined solely by My Town Rocks.

We reserve the right to refuse or withdraw community status where appropriate.

8. Editorial Rights

To maintain quality across the network, My Town Rocks may:

• correct spelling, punctuation and grammar
• adjust formatting
• crop or resize images
• amend titles for consistency or search performance
• request additional information before publication

We will never deliberately change the meaning of your content.

9. Removal of Content

We reserve the right to refuse, suspend, edit or remove any listing without notice where it:

• breaches these terms
• receives legal complaints
• contains inaccurate information
• presents a safeguarding concern
• damages the reputation of My Town Rocks or its users

Where practical, we will explain why a listing has been removed and offer the opportunity to resolve the issue.

10. Disclaimer

While we make every effort to ensure listings remain accurate, My Town Rocks does not guarantee that information published by advertisers is complete, accurate or up to date.

Users should always check details directly with the organiser before travelling or making a booking.

11. Limitation of Liability

My Town Rocks Limited is not responsible for:

• cancelled events
• changes to advertised offers
• pricing errors supplied by advertisers
• disputes between advertisers and customers
• losses arising from reliance on published content

Our total liability shall be limited to the amount paid for the relevant advertising package, where permitted by law.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Publishing Terms from time to time.

The latest version will always apply to new and existing listings and will be published on the My Town Rocks website.

Draft — final wording pending. Community Rocks pricing is intended for registered charities, schools and not-for-profit community groups. My Town Rocks decides eligibility and may ask for evidence of your organisation’s status before approving an application.

2. Your commitments

Draft — final wording pending. By ticking the attestation box at checkout you will be confirming that your organisation still meets the eligibility criteria above and that the listing being discounted is for that organisation’s own activities.

3. Withdrawal of the discount

Draft — final wording pending. My Town Rocks reserves the right to withdraw Community Rocks pricing from an organisation or listing at any time, including where eligibility is no longer met or the attestation was inaccurate.
